Jonah Lucas

March 2001 - August 2019

“Jonah was my favorite person. He was difficult, stubborn, knew everything, harsh with his words, annoyed, and pushy.

He was also tender-hearted. He loved his animals so deeply, he often told me that our dog milo was his guardian angel, so it comforts me that they are together again. As we would drive along the streets of Sugarhouse, Jonah would point out various people, always by name, and tell me their stories. He was so sad for them, that they had nowhere to turn, that their families had turned their backs on them. He couldn’t stand that people were homeless. He always wanted to help them and would tell me his plans of one day how he was going to buy expensive coats and go pass them out so that they could feel what it was like to have something nice and not just things other people didn’t want.

He had many, many plans on how he was going to shower people with his generosity someday, this was just one. With the help of some very kind and special people, it looks like this plan will come true. “Jackets from Jonah” has already raised money toward this dream, but with your help, let’s see if we can raise even more. In Jonah’s words “go big”.”

Change a life today

Jackets from Jonah contributors work tirelessly to provide essential items to those who need them most. Dropping off care packages to neighbors throughout the entire valley.
